The ship supplier does not need to manually translate item numbers / product number, e.g from IMPA, ISSA and other stakeholders and associations, thus saving the time it takes to look up item numbers in various databases, catalogues or manuals. When getting Requests from E-procurement providers, no extra handling is needed even when ISSA or IMPA item numbers are used by the customer. Even when documents are printed it can be chosen whether to print internal item nos. or item nos. coming from the customer via an E-business solution e.g. ShipServ, MTS, SeaSupplier etc. For those who frequently encounter many item-lines on each sales orders, the feature/functionality brings substantial operational effectiveness and efficiency derived saved time in manually searching for various item numbers from customers, partners, ISSA, IMPA and other stakeholders.
